When you play music on YouTube Music, the extension may read the currently visible song information, such as title and artist, to request matching synchronized lyrics.

How Information Is Used

Song information is used only to find and display lyrics for the track you are currently playing. Lyrics Overlay does not use this information for advertising, profiling, analytics, or tracking.

Third-Party Services

Lyrics Overlay uses LRCLIB to retrieve synchronized lyrics. When lyrics are requested, song details may be sent to LRCLIB so it can return matching lyrics. LRCLIB's handling of requests is governed by its own policies and service behavior.

Local Storage

The extension may store settings locally in your browser, such as whether the overlay is enabled and your preferred font size. These settings remain on your device and are not sent to us.

Feedback

If you choose to send feedback by email, we receive the information you include in that message, such as your name, email address, topic, and message. We use this only to respond to feedback and improve the extension.

Data Sharing
